Old-Time Tea Dance
Saturday July 26th
4.30 - 9.30pm

You may have tripped the light fantastic at a Bush Dance or even sachayed around at a grand Colonial Ball, but have you ever tried the delights of an Old-Time Tea Dance?

'Folk Victoria' and the 'Traditional and Social Dance Association of Victoria' (TSDAV) are getting together once again to run this annual event in St Ambrose Hall, 2-4 Dawson Street, Brunswick.

You can have fun with your costuming or come in your normal clothes - it's a little more formal than a bush dance, a little less formal than a ball. You can come by yourself or with a partner or group. You'll need to bring a plate of "tea-time goodies" which can be added to the communal table to share.

Tea and coffee are provided. Live music will be provided by a wonderful old-time dance band from Central Victoria, "The Gay Charmers". You don't need to know the dances, though a little knowledge of a few dance conventions such as "do-si-do", "swing" and "promenade" might be helpful.

The cost is $24, or, if you pre-pay, $20.

For bookings and further details contact:

Ken Gellatly on 03 9885 5756 or Denise Hibbs on 03 9878 6267.

Folk Victoria is still looking for a new home. We apologise for the interruption in concert supply and hope to resume services as soon as we are able.
