TWO ROSE BLACK ( GEORGIA ROSE , GARRY ROSE & ALEX BLACK)     Is a trio that combines age and experience with the enthusiasm of the next generation of folk performer 13 year old GEORGIA is fast gaining a reputation as one of the most exiting young fiddle players around.  

Raised with celtic music all around , she is however classically trained and wins many Eisteddfods, so has developed a " feel" for many different styles of music .She has been granted a scholarship to return to the Lakes school at Koroit where she impressed last year . She played in the Folk alliance youth awards at the national and is also playing for bush dances with the Briagolong band   

    The other Rose in the group is Garry, her father( for 30 years has led the Briagolong bush band who have performed at Pt Fairy 3 times Maldon 12 times and even the National as far back as 1988 )     He has been writing songs for many years many telling of his lifetime of experiences  working on the land, travel & family( including the poignant" Kalinka in his dreams" the story of his father in-laws, trip back to the Ukraine after 50 yrs of living in Australia) He is also a noted interpreter of trad & contemporary  songs
    
   Alex Black has played fiddle with top Melbourne bands Paradiddle, The Celts, & Celtic City Sons  touring extensively around Australia and overseas he now plays with the Briagolong bush band .He is noted for his dynamic playing, his improvisations and feel for the many styles of music he  embraces. the interweaving of the two fiddles is a feature of the band

   Two Rose Black have been booked for Maldon Fest. & Geelong folk clubs with more in the pipeline
